Dear Friends,
If the
handiwork of our God is so beautiful in the United States of
America, how much more breathtaking will the eternal home He has
prepared for us be to behold. We have enjoyed getting to see
the Northwest this spring, and have much to share about our past few
weeks in revivals.
We began in February at Trinity Baptist Church in Greenwood,
SC. A young boy was saved at this meeting and as a result of
his salvation, he began bringing his family to church. After a
meeting at United Baptist in Spartanburg, SC, we headed to Fort
Walton Beach, FL. This revival was the first in the church's
history. We were so encouraged to find that the church had
been preparing for weeks for this revival, and it was evident in the
submissive spirits of the people to the Word of God.
While in Florida, we had the opportunity to attend the
Enrichment Conference at Pensacola Christian College. What a
blessing to our hearts the services were and what an encouragement
to see how much PCC and the Campus Church loves and seeks to
encourage those in the ministry.
Our next stop was in Sherwood, AR, at Brockington Road
Baptist where we again had the opportunity to hold the first revival
in the history of this church. God truly molded and revived
hearts, and we have been encouraged by reports of the continuing
work that the Holy Spirit is doing there.
We stopped in Kansas to visit some friends and ended up
getting the opportunity to minister in their church on Easter
Sunday. From there we went to Front Range Baptist Church in
Fort Collins, CO, to preach a youth retreat and also
to preach in the Sunday services. We were encouraged
to see how God is blessing this work. We enjoyed a few days
off in Colorado as we rested in the majestic snow-capped Rocky
Mountains.
We enjoyed seeing bison, buffalo, and many elk and
antelope as we drove through snowy Wyoming on our trip to Pocatello,
ID, where we held a revival at Pocatello Baptist Church with Pastor
Colan Deatherage. We saw a clear moving of the Holy Spirit as
God moved in a mighty way in this church.
We held our next revival at Mountain View Baptist Church in
Cedar City, UT. This was our third revival at this church and
we enjoyed seeing families here remaining faithful to
God. Afterwards, we began a southward journey to
Cottonwood, AZ. We enjoyed meeting the new Pastor and had
sweet services at Cottonwood Baptist Church.
Our last revival was at Maranatha Baptist Church in Glendale,
AZ. We were encouraged to see the people's
hearts soften throughout the week as they responded
to the preaching of God's Word. We were able to stop
in for a couple of days at our sending church in Marana, AZ, and
were thankful for the "fuel" offering that they took up for us.
As you can see, we have traveled many miles and have seen
God's mighty hand at work in the past few weeks. He has been
so good to provide safety on the road and help with minor mechanical
problems with our truck. We are humbled that He would
choose to use us in the ministry of evangelism.
Please keep us in your prayers as we continue. We will
soon be in Pensacola, FL, where we have the opportunity to preach in
their summer camps. Pray that God will give the messages he
would have me preach, and that he would prepare the hearts of the
young people that are coming to the summer camps.
In Christ,
The McCormicks
